The Basics of Herbal Medicine This 27 hour program is designed to cover a little of all things herbal. It is for those wishing to learn the basics of how to help themselves and their families heal naturally. We look briefly at about 50 herbs, and ways in which they can be applied in a range of common conditions. We will discuss how to make tinctures and teas, how to harvest herbs, and how to use the properties of the plants to create remedies for simple conditions which you can apply yourself. The course is available in two different formats - evenings or weekends. Evening classes are one evening a week for nine weeks - 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Weekend classes are two weekends Saturday and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Cost : $270.00 (plus HST) Advanced Therapeutics This will be a series of workshops designed for practitioners already experienced in the use of herbal remedies. We will look in depth at issues such as endocrine dysfunction, cancer therapy, and the challenges of working in conjunction with complex pharmaceuticals.
